The stainless steel drinking bottle brand Klean Kanteen has another gem: the Klean Kanteen TK Wide. This is also a double-walled insulated bottle made of food grade stainless steel. And of course Wide stands for its wide opening of 66 mm. The TK Wide is available in 5 different sizes: 355 ml, 473 ml, 592 ml, 946 ml and 1,900 ml. For hot and cold
It doesn’t matter whether you fill it with water, a smoothie or something fresh in the morning, or that you fill it with hot tea or coffee: everything can be stored in this stainless steel bottle at the right temperature. . Klean Kanteen claims for the small TK Wide that it keeps a drink cold for 38 hours and warm for 11 hours. And …. due to its wide opening, the TK Wide is not only suitable for hot and cold drinks, but certainly also for hot noodles and pasta. And I also like to use a thermos flask for that. The disadvantage of most bottles with a narrow neck is that they are difficult to clean. That might be different with the TK Wide. A test copy has now been requested.

What also keeps it clean is the beautiful way in which Klean Kanteen has the cap screwed into the bottle. Inside the inner bottle are “nubs” that together form a thread. The cap turns in these studs. And thanks to this special thread, you can also drink and pour very nicely and spill-free. This is possible because an opening always appears, even if you open your cap just a little bit. Something you don’t have with a continuous thread.
Three extra caps
Nice detail is that the cap can adapt to your use. The TK Wide comes standard with a leak-free Café Cap with a comfortable drinking lip, but you can switch to 1 of the 3 other caps that you can purchase with it:
- Wide Loop Cap. A cap with a full stainless steel interior that increases the thermal performance. In addition, the Loop is useful for hanging the bottle on the outside of your backpack.
- Wide Straw Cap. A cap specially made to put a straw through. Naturally a metal straw and not entirely coincidentally, Klean Kanteen also has this one.
- Chug Cap. A cap with a lockable drink spout. Handy if you also want to use the bottle as a sports bottle and want to be able to drink large sips of water.
