PEdAL ED is a cycling brand for cloths, founded in Japan but with production in Italy. Their philosophy: clothing that is comfortable and durable. New is that they now also make beautiful Bikepacking bags. Read the newsarticle!
The PEdAL ED Bikepacking bag collection is named Odyssey and consists of a saddle bag, frame bag, upper tube bag and handlebar bag. The entire collection is waterproof and all bags have reflective details for extra visibility in the dark.
Odyssey Cluster
The PEdAL ED Odyssey Cluster is the saddle bag and it is made of an extremely strong and durable material. The lower half of the bag has a double-layer fabric insert. This protects the bag against possible contact with the rear wheel and serves as a fender. The bag is attached to the seat post with two Velcro straps. The price of the Cluster saddlebag is € 165.
Odyssey Internode
The Internode is the half frame bag of PEdAL ED that you mount under the top tube. The bag fits most bicycles and therefore also race bikes and mountain bikes. You attach the Internode to the front on the front fork. Extra padding is placed here to prevent damage to the fork. There is a small opening in the front of the bag, through which battery cables or the hose of a water bag system can pass. The PEdAL ED Odyssey Internode costs € 125.
Odyssey Node
The PEdAL ED Odyssey Node can be placed on top of the top tube of the frame, on the headset or near the seat post. To be able to mount it in different places, the bag has a belt that can be placed in three different positions and has two different height settings. The underside of Odyssey Node is provided with a non-slip fabric, which means that less movement or slipping occurs when pedalling. The bag has a zipper and you can open the Node with one hand. The inside of the bag is lined, which ensures thermal insulation. On the outside of the bag are two net compartments that are ideal for storing small items or food items. The PEdAL ED Odyssey Node costs € 75.
Odyssey Tendril
The Tendril is a handlebar bag that is placed 2 centimeters away from the handlebars, so that the cables (brakes and acceleration) can run freely. You close the Tendril by rolling the two sides inwards. This closing system also ensures that the outer dimensions of the bag are as small as possible. The bag has two adjustable straps on the outside, so you can tie some extra (lightweight) luggage, such as a foam mat or raincoat on the handlebar bag. The price of the PEdAL ED Odyssey Tendril is € 138.
So, a complete collection for your next Bikepack holiday. The first test bags have arrived. To be continued!
