Just as with a real leaf, the Rubytec Kao Nature Leaf gets its energy from the sun through a very small solar panel. Is there no sun? No problem, you can charge the Rubytec Kao Nature Leaf yourself. Simply cranking the handle will charge the Kao XL by hand as it is attached to an internal dynamo. One minute of rotation gives three minutes of light.
Rubytec Kao Nature Leaf Battery
The lightweight mini flashlight has two 6,000 McD leds and requires no batteries; the energy is stored in a small internal 20mAh 3.6V Ni-Mh battery. The Koa has a handy clip and with that you can easily attach it to your belt loop or bunch of keys. Or on top of your backpack so that the battery can also recharge while walking.
Glow-in-the-dark
In addition to the Leaf, the Rubytec Kao Nature series has three other prints: Water, Wood and Sunrise. A small point to think about: don’t drop the Kao Nature Leaf in green grass….
