The Ribelle SHD is a super light – only 440 grams half pair – crampon friendly fast mountaineering shoe. The Ribelle is made of synthetic materials and has a lot of protection over the toes so you can seriously kick some rocks. Neat feature is also the synthetic Polyurethane cover over the laces to protect them too.
Integrated gaiter
The shaft of the shoe is made of a stretch material that works as an integrated gaiter so that stones and water cannot enter here. This ‘Sock-Fit Plus construction system’ – the Italians are great in naming things – is of course a barrier when you put the shoes on and therefor Scarpa provided the Scarpa Ribelle S HD with super pull loops on top of the shaft.
HDry membrane
On the inside the the Ribelle S HD has a Primaloft Silver Yarn HDry membrane – hence the S HD in the name – and this very thin waterproof and breathable layer prevents wet and sweaty feet. The shoe is equipped with a Vibram Megagrip outsole that guarantees a lot of grip wherever you go.
Sizing and price
The Scarpa Ribelle S HD retails for € 339,00 and is only available in the sizes 40-44 in steps of a half and unfortunately only for men.
