The new Ether Light XT sleeping mat from Sea to Summit is somewhat higher than the average sleeping mat and therefore according to Sea to Summit ideal for side sleepers. Thanks to the height of the mat you can sink a little further without touching the ground. Curious? Read the newsarticle.
The Ether Light XT is a new lightweight sleeping mat. It weighs 350 grams and this low weight is due to the large air chambers (Air Sprung Cells). These air chambers give the same effect as a pocket mattress. The sleeping mat is therefore softer, quieter and very comfortable. The sleeping mat has a thickness of 10 cm.
Sea to Summit Ether Light XT: Two versions
The sleeping mat is available in different versions. If you only go camping in the summer, the “normal” version is sufficient. But if you also go camping in colder circumstances, you can also choose the insulated version. And Sea to Summit introduced a special version for women. This sleeping mat is adapted to the female forms and has a thicker Thermolite insulation layer so that you retain the heat even better. The Pillowlock prevents your pillow from sliding.
Storage bag becomes air pump
You can use the Ether Light XT storage bag to inflate your sleeping mat. We already know such a system from competitors such as Vaude and Exped. With a pumpsac you can inflate a sleeping mat very easily. Smart is that Sea to Summit gives the pumpsac a dubbel function as a packsac . The valve allows air to enter easily and prevents air from accidentally disappearing. Nice is also the fact that there is a fine adjustment option to arrange the right amount of air.
Availablity
The Sea to Summit Ether Light XT sleeping mat is available at outdoor stores and via web shops in the sizes Small (168 x 55 x 10 cm), Regular (183 x 55 x 10 cm) and Large (198 x 64 x 10 cm). The Regular has a 19 cm x 9 cm diameter and has a weight of 350 grams. Consumer recommended price is € 175 for the regular sleeping mat and € 209 for the insulated version.
