DJI asked me if I wanted to review their new Mavic Air 2 and after giving some thoughts… I did. Enjoy the video!
Drone manufacturer DJI asked me if I wanted to review the new DJI Mavic Air 2 from an outdoor perspective. I gave it some thoughts since I normally review outdoor stuff like backpacks, hiking shoes, tents, bikes, axes, stoves and the occasional outdoor watch. I don’t do drones or camera’s or refrigerators…
Active Track
But since I am a Mavic Pro owner and use the Mavic Pro for my video’s, I am pretty curious about this little DJI Mavic Air 2. So I made review. In this review I am not so much interested in the image quality – should be good – but more interested if the Active Track function – the drone follows a subject – is better and if the DJI Mavic Air 2 is as robust as the Mavic Pro that I own. And I got my answers so if you want to know if this is going to be the new drone in my backpack…. Watch the video!

Verdict: no rating
Small remark: This was the hardest review I’ve ever done and the longest… 1 hour and a bit. That is also the reason that there is not extensive text-review as I normally do make. I also did not give the DJI Mavic Air 2 a rating in points. I have two reasons for this: the first is that I don’t have any other drone except my Mavic Pro to compare it to so what is the value of a rating? The second reason is that I am not the most knowledgeable on drones and the image quality they shoot. I use images in my video’s to make them better but I hardly go for that ultimate beauty shot. I focus on usability and practicality more. Have these two remarks in your mind when you watch the video. And please get back to me with comments if you liked it or not and what could be better. Thanks in advance!
